My mouse from them has a blue laser and doesn't seem to track well on a generic mouse pad if I move it fast.

The Blue LED mouse should fit well on all mouse pad and also DX-1000. Please check with your mouse supplier about it, and it may not be design for the gaming use.

Do you have DX-1000 for other color than black?
